The Center for Policy Research on Ageing (CEPRA) at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) are pleased to announce a US-European workshop on "Aging and Health".
The workshop aims to facilitate the networking of both young and senior scientists and to promote the exchange of research ideas in the economics of ageing, health and health care. In particular, the workshop welcomes empirical contributions on health, physical and cognitive functioning and their association with labor market and broader socioeconomic status; work disability; retirement choices; health, longevity and well-being; and long term care.
To provide a conducive environment for the exchange of ideas, the workshop is limited to a small number of presenters and discussants.
The workshop will start on June 2 at 08.30, with welcome and registration, to finish at 14.00 of June 3. The Workshop program includes ten plenary sessions and a round table discussion with Amitabh Chandra, Harvard Kennedy School. A social event with hike to the Lugano lake's surroundings is also scheduled starting around 15.30 of June 2
In case you have any queries about the Workshop, please do not hesitate to contact Claudio Daminato, postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich and research fellow at CEPRA (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please kindly email him your accommodation preferences (two or three nights stay).
We are looking forward to meeting you in Lugano.
